Projects and Services

RFFA is committed to helping maintain and restoring aquatic habitat in local streams and waterways. RFFA is also involved with service projects like Project Healing Waters and Casting for Recovery.

Stream Team Number 1

Roubidoux Fly Fishers was and is the first stream team in Missouri.We are proud to be Missouri Stream Team No. 1. The lower Roubidoux creek is our project stream. Members also help maintain area streams by volunteering their time with other Missouri stream teams. Water quality testing is conducted on Spring creek in an effort to monitor the stream condition.

Project Healing Waters

Project Healing Waters Fly Fishing Inc. is a program that is dedicated to the physical and emotional rehabilitation of disabled active military service personnel and veterans through fly fishing and fly tying education and outings. Roubidoux Fly Fishers are proud to be associated with this great project. Max, our club's Spey casting guru, conducts his Healing waters classes at Fort Leonard Wood with fly fishing outings on local streams.

Casting  For Recovery
A National 501 (C) (3) Non-Profit organization, supports breast cancer survivors through a program that combines fly fishing, counseling and medical information to build a focus on wellness instead of illness. The Roubidoux Fly Fishers ty up several hundred flies and donate the flies to the Casting for Recovery program.
